SERMON NOTES

Introduction: God wants us to honour His Name. We are bearers of His Name. We were designed to reflect His image and likeness. This is the rationale of the 3rd commandment.

We are not to take the Lord’s Name in vain. Instead we are to honour Him by our lips and by our lives.

3 Practical Mandates from this Command:

1. The Mandate of AWE.
   Let us never stop being amazed of God’s Name and Character

2. The Mandate of REVERENCE.
   let us Cultivate a Deep Respect for God’s Person.

3. The Mandate of MISSION
   Let us Entrance our Purpose in Him.

TO HONOUR GOD’S NAME IS TO HONOUR HIM BY OUR LIPS AND BY OUR LIVES!
TRUE WORSHIP IS TO SHOW THE WORTHINESS OF GOD BY WHAT WE SAY AND WHAT WE DO!
